There are 3 required workshops for the Personal Support Worker (PSW) course:
Lift and Transfer Techniques, 2 hours
Personal Care, 2 hours
Alzheimer Disease, 4 hours
All 3 workshops are offered in one day, pre-registration is required, and lunch is provided.
The next workshops will be at Vickers Training Center, 309 Lowell Street, in Saint John, on
Thursday, October 27th, 2022, and
Friday, October 28th, 2022
The workshops are offered twice a year, so Students can take them within 6 months of their start date, no matter when they start the course.
If the times and locations are not suitable, the Employer has the option of putting on the workshops themselves, with the stipulation that Vickers must approve their Instructor (an RN or LPN with experience in the field would be acceptable).
